Industrial Tour 2026 | Department of Business Administration, Premier UniversityTo strengthen the connection between academic learning and real-world industry practices, the Department of Business Administration at Premier University arranged an industrial visit for BBA 7th Semester (46th Batch) and BBA 8th Semester (45th Batch) students in the Marketing Discipline.Held on July 25, 2026, the tour took students to KDS Fashion Limited, a top-tier ready-made garment manufacturer in Bangladesh. The visit offered direct insight into key industrial functions such as production workflows, quality assurance, merchandising operations, and supply chain logistics.The students were warmly received by the KDS team, who shared practical knowledge about the company’s operations. Key speakers included Md. Kamrul Hossain and Abdus Shahid, both Managers in Sales & Merchandising; Balay Paul, AGM of HR & Administration; Minhazul Islam and Sanjit Acharjee, Assistant Managers in HR (Fashion); and Md. Ershad, Senior Executive in Administration (Fashion). They discussed how cross-departmental coordination supports smooth operations, ensures product standards, and fulfills the demands of global clients.Participants also learned about KDS Fashion Limited’s focus on sustainable and innovative practices. The company’s Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and LEED Platinum certifications were highlighted as evidence of its commitment to eco-friendly production. Representatives further outlined strategic management approaches, an integrated supply chain framework, and a business model that has enabled KDS to stay competitive in the international apparel industry.A major highlight was the guided tour of the factory floor, where students observed the cutting, sewing, and packaging units in operation. KDS professionals walked them through each phase of garment production, helping students link classroom concepts with actual manufacturing processes. Farah Israt Tania, Assistant Professor, and Tahmina Reza, Assistant Professor of the Department of Business Administration of Premier University, supervised the industrial visit. They encouraged students to gain real-world exposure to the industrial sector and highlighted the importance of such educational tours in preparing for professional life.
The experience proved highly beneficial, deepening students’ appreciation of contemporary business systems and the dynamic growth of Bangladesh’s RMG sector. This initiative underscores Premier University’s emphasis on experiential education, offering students valuable exposure to industry environments and supporting their professional development.
