It is my distinct honor to welcome you to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Premier University, Chattogram. Established in January 2002, our department stands as one of the founding pillars of the university, dedicated to excellence in teaching, cutting-edge research, and the professional development of our students.
Our academic programs are designed to balance theoretical knowledge with practical skills. We offer a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program in Computer Science and Engineering, and since 2023, a two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in the same field. These programs are structured to prepare our graduates to excel in the competitive tech industry.
As one of the leading CSE department in the Chattogram region, we are proud to be among the first to successfully practice Outcome-Based Education (OBE), aligning our academic programs with international standards. Our mission is to prepare students not just for today's challenges, but for the emerging and next-generation AI-powered cyber and digital world.
To enhance our students' competencies, we have established three internationally affiliated academies: Cisco Networking Academy, AWS Academy, and Red Hat Academy. These platforms offer certification courses that provide our students and professionals with globally recognized credentials.
Our department boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced laboratories such as the Artificial Intelligence Lab, Microprocessor-Microcontroller and IoT Lab, Software Development Lab, Operating System Lab, Computer Networking Lab, Competitive Programming Lab, Programming Labs, and High-Performance Programming Lab. These labs provide an ideal environment for hands-on learning and innovation.
Beyond academics, we encourage our students to engage in extracurricular activities. The Premier University Computer Club, established in 2015, fosters a dynamic environment for students to participate in programming classes, contests, IT fests, project exhibitions, and seminars. Additionally, our IEEE Student Branch organizes seminars, workshops, and training sessions on cutting-edge technologies.
Our alumni are a testament to our department's success, with many holding prestigious positions in leading corporations both domestically and internationally. The Computer Science and Engineering Alumni Association, PU (CSEAA_PU), formed on 14th April 2023, serves as a bridge connecting our graduates and fostering a strong professional network.
As we navigate the advancements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, integrating technologies like Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and Blockchain, our department remains committed to producing competent, ethical, and socially responsible professionals ready to meet global challenges.
