Premier University Welcomes LL.M. Batch 40 with Orientation Program
50 New Graduates Embark on Master’s Journey at Hazari Lane Campus.

The Department of Law, Premier University, Chattogram, hosted the Orientation Program of LL.M. Batch 40 (Session: Fall 2025)  on Wednesday at the University’s Hazari Lane Campus. The event warmly welcomed 50 newly admitted law graduates from different universities across Bangladesh into the prestigious one-year Master’s program.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor S. M. Nasrul Quadir, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Premier University, as Chief Guest. In his dynamic address, he urged the students to embrace the transformative power of advanced legal education.
“Legal education is not just about knowing the law, it is about upholding justice, protecting rights, and leading society toward fairness and equality. This LL.M. program will expand your horizons, sharpen your analytical skills, and prepare you to become the next generation of legal thinkers and leaders of our nation. I encourage each of you to approach this journey with dedication, courage, and a sense of responsibility to society,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
The event also featured inspiring remarks from Professor Md. Morshed Mahmud Khan, Dean (Adjunct), Faculty of Law, who joined as Special Guest. In his address, he highlighted the growing importance of postgraduate legal education in shaping the nation’s justice system.
“An LL.M. degree is more than an academic credential. It is a platform for research, critical thinking, and specialized expertise. As future advocates, academics, or policymakers, your contributions will strengthen Bangladesh’s legal framework and its alignment with global standards. Make the best use of this opportunity not only to enhance your own careers but also to serve society with integrity and fairness,” he remarked.
Among the distinguished guests, Dr. Meher Nigar, Chairperson of the Eve Teasing and Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee, delivered a thoughtful speech emphasizing the values of discipline, ethical conduct, and a safe and inclusive academic environment.
Presiding over the program, Mr. Anup Kumar Biswas, Chairperson of the Department of Law, expressed gratitude to all participants in his vote of thanks. The program was coordinated by Mr. Hillol Saha, Associate Professor and Advisor of LL.M. (Batch 40).
The orientation was further enriched by reflections from four newly admitted students: Harun Ur Rashid, Puspita Chowdhury, Mahfrua, and Zannatul Ul Ferdouswho shared their excitement and aspirations for the journey ahead. Faculty members of the Department of Law, along with current students, also attended, making the occasion vibrant and welcoming.
The Orientation Program not only marked the beginning of an important academic chapter for LL.M. Batch 40 but also reaffirmed Premier University’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and leadership in higher legal education.
